Mindfulness meditation scientifically helps with stress. The ability to “be attentive to our lives in the moment they happen” provides access to much more than stress reduction.

Meditation and trauma processing

The ability to be attentive to our body and mind is central to trauma processing. To give an example: most of the overwhelming emotions will automatically diminish if we give them undivided open attention. By seeing and experiencing that an overwhelming emotion simply diminishes, hope and self-confidence grows.
